Kashmir Fund DK provides emergency relief to families in Kashmir and across Pakistan when natural disasters and conflicts strike. We provide vital supplies such as food, clean water, medicine and temporary shelter to people in urgent need. We focus on vulnerable families in remote and hard-hit areas, where aid is often most difficult to reach.
Background and needs
Pakistan is regularly hit by serious natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes and extreme weather events. Millions of people lose their homes, livelihoods and access to basic necessities. Poor families in rural areas in particular are left without a safety net and have limited access to help.
In addition, the Kashmir region is characterized by war and conflict. This has a severe impact on the civilian population, who are already vulnerable due to a lack of food, clean water, shelter and healthcare. In acute crisis situations, rapid and targeted relief is therefore crucial for their survival.
Objectives
Who we support
Our efforts target families affected by natural disasters and conflicts, as well as children, women and the elderly in particularly vulnerable situations. We reach thousands of people in hard-hit areas and work closely with communities in Kashmir and all provinces of Pakistan where urgent assistance is needed.
